The third company, Florida-based TEI Marketing Group, was ordered to pay $140,000. … Kramer’s attorney, Kelly Wallace, said he is unlikely to ever collect the judgment, which was made possible by an Iowa law that allows plaintiffs to claim damages of $10 per spam message. The judgments were then tripled under RICO.

Even if a judgement is never collected, it’s a nice feeling to know that finally justice has been served.

Did anyone else get a strange Amazon error (on all of the Amazon properties) from 2.30-2.45ish pm EST? It was not a DDoS, Instead, I was getting an error that said something like “thank you for your order, please check back again”.
