tidbits from my logs…

Looking at my site logs recently, I’ve found that most of my readers on Windows are actually using the most recent version (1.0.4) of Firefox. To be honest, I’m extremely surprised to see that folks are staying updated - especially since the updates are manual. Again, this could be because most of you who are reading this could be classified as tech savvy.

I’d disagree - I’d expect everyone using firefox to be on the latest version - if you are techy/geeky enough to be running firefox then you know enough to be kept up to date and know about the vulnerabilities.

I disagree with Andy. You don’t have to be geeky to run Firefox. But, as the name of this blog is “confessions of a g33k”, one could think it would attract geeks. And geeks tend to use safe versions of software.

I am fairly geekiy myself… I often post to my own blog via WAP, for example. But I haven’t had the desire to try FireFox yet, in spite of the good press it has received.
I do like Opera, however, and use it at home.

And its a lot easier keeping it upgraded when an icon appears in your toolbar to tell you to upgrade…
