Yet another search engine called OpenISearch, which bills itself as “The Ultimate Search Engine”. It’s not released yet, and the link sends you to a landing page. However, the search engine is already sending out a bot on the World Wide Web.

The page is well designed, I like the domain name too, its like

This bot is worse than you think. It’s been SLAMMING my sites (and a lot of people’s sites, scraping data, and eating bandwidth. You can find more info on OpenISearch bot here.

Yeah, this thing has been hitting mine hard too. Their tag line should change to “Experience the Future of Web Spamming“.
