I heard that the iPhone is to be offered to tmobile and cingular however iPhone is asking too much money for it. Both companies suggest iPhone lowering their prices if they actually expect to sell any.

Great idea but:

If I were part of the Cingular/AT&T marketing team, and I was hoping to lure folks from the other carriers, I would offer a comprehensible set of data plans instead of the confusing mismatch of their current offerings.

Sorry, just a rant, looking into Cingular data plans today and they are a mess. Switching to Cingular would be much easier if the data plans were understandable.

Hey Joy, great idea. Would you mind if I added it to my "Idea" blog called The Digital Napkin. I don't get a ton of readers yet but I'm always looking to promote good ideas. My email is in my profile.

Take Care!

I've somehow fallen into the role of adding to the iPhone buzz in my BlogHer blog lately. My not-so-tongue-in-cheek comment was that the price prompts me to wait for the iPhone nano because of the price. But I love this idea and think it would make sense to ATT/Cingular as well. I have almost two years on a Sprint contract I'd have to buy out of, on top of the $500 or $600 for the iPhone. It's a major financial decision to switch. Keep promoting your idea; maybe it will begin to make sense to someone at ATT, too.
